We will discuss why having hypothesis based experimental practices is so crucial and what it means to be effective at product thinking

Understanding the Customer Problem
You will spend time understanding the customer segment, analysing relevant quantitative and qualitative evidence, identify the customer problem and build your first level of experimental hypothesis

Framing the Opportunity
Starting with the ‘How Might We’ opportunity statement you will generate high-level ideas together that build your second level experimental hypothesis, you will identify the activities to validate your early assumptions and mitigating risks

Designing Solution Hypothesis
Moving forward with your most impactful potential idea you will use a divergent and convergent thinking approach to ideate possible solutions and consider how you will measure customer success, finally building your third level hypothesis

Finally we will discuss how to introduce the core starting conditions and product definitions of done that ensure the team has a deep understanding of what customer problems they solving and why that is important to the business

This hands-on collaborative workshop incentivises them to maximise their performance and impact, enabling strong product thinking mindsets with hypothesis driven experimental practices.

The aim of product discovery is simply to decide what to build by learning more about what customers might want early and often. Hypothesis statements allow product team’s to validate their creative ideas and identified assumptions as they go, mitigating risk at every stage of the process.

Whether you are part of the cross-functional product leadership that leads multiple teams, a member of a product team looking to improve working practices, or a Product Ops practitioner accountable in enabling teams to become more effective — this workshop introduce invaluable techniques that provide the structure for real actionable change.

What you can expect.

Attendees.

Attendees will work together through all the workshop activities in groups of four to six people. Your current cross-functional product teams will be ideal, however given the nature of the workshops anyone will find them valuable.
